Domingos Rego

Domingos Rego, 77, of Swansea, MA, local auto body shop owner, died Monday at St. Anne's Hospital after a brief illness. He was the husband of the late Artemisia V. (Rego) Rego.

Born in Faja de Cima, St. Michael, Azores, he was a son of the late Francisco and Maria (Ferreira) Rego. Mr. Rego was the owner of C & D Auto Body in Fall River for 55 years.

He is survived by two sons, William Rego (Wife Nancy) of Live Oak, FL and Thomas Rego (Wife Maria Gorette) of Somerset, MA; a daughter, Maureen Rego of Swansea, MA; three grandchildren, William, Kyle and Alexandria; and his longtime companion, Alice Medeiros of Fall River.

Mr. Rego's funeral will be held on Thursday at 8 a.m. from the Oliveira Funeral Home, 215 Columbia St., followed by a Funeral Mass at 9 a.m. in Santo Christo Church. Committal prayers and interment in St. Patrick's Cemetery. Calling hours Wednesday 4 - 9 p.m.
