Dimas Cabral

Dimas Cabral, 82, of Fall River, passed away peacefully on Friday. He was the husband of Manuela M. (Medeiros) Cabral.

Born in Mosteiros, St. Michael, Azores; a son of the late Antonio and Maria (Dias-Almeida) Cabral, he resided in Fall River for the past 48 years.

Mr. Cabral had worked as a machine operator for Lightolier for 20 years, retiring in 1999. He was a member of Santo Christo Church.

Besides his wife of 55 years, he is survived by 2 sons, Mario J. Cabral (wife Rosemarie) of Fall River and Paul D. Cabral (wife Rose) of Assonet; a sister, Germana Vieira of Fall River; 2 granddaughters, Josalyn Cabral and Cassandra Cabral and several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Joao Cabral, Sylvana Silvia, Antonio Cabral and Liliana Correia.

His funeral will be held on Tuesday at 8 a.m. from the Oliveira Funeral Home 215 Columbia St. followed by a Funeral Mass at 9 a.m. in Santo Christo Church. Interment in St. Patrick’s Cemetery. Calling hours Monday 5 – 8 p.m. www.oliveirafuneralhomes.com
