Deolinda Furtado

Deolinda "Julie" (Medeiros) Furtado, 90, formerly of Woodman St., Fall River, died Saturday at the Catholic Memorial Home. Born in Fall River, MA, she was a daughter of the late Jacinto and Dorothea (Souza-Faria) Medeiros; she lived most of her life in Fall River and was a member of Santo Christo Church.

Before retiring, she worked for several years at Bradley-Scott. She previously worked at Tioga Sportswear.

She is survived by a son, Michael J. Furtado; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Helen Vianna, Mary Teves, Gloria Moniz, Sarah Faria, Joseph, Manuel, and Frank Medeiros.

Her funeral will be held Tuesday at 8 a.m. from the OLIVEIRA FUNERAL HOME, 2064 South Main St., followed by a Funeral Mass at 9 a.m. in Santo Christo Church. Interment in St. Patrick's Cemetery. Visitation 7:30-8:30 a.m. morning of funeral.
