Deolinda R. (Rocha) Camara

FALL RIVER…Deolinda R. (Rocha) Camara, 83, of Fall River passed away October 23, 2018 at St. Anne’s Hospital surrounded by her family.

She was the widow of Joao Camara.

Born in Santo Antonio Alem Capelas, Sao Miguel, Azores, she was a daughter of the late Jose and Mary (Camara) Rocha.

Mrs. Camara was a communicant of Santo Christo Church where she was a member of the Holy Rosary Society. She worked for 20 years as a Machine Operator for San-Toro Manufacturing and enjoyed gardening, sewing, cooking and spending time with her family, especially her granddaughters, Courtney and Tanya as well as Tanya’s children.

Survivors include her daughters: Maria Eva Almeida and her husband Larry of Fall River and Marilia C. Coluccielo and her husband John of Dartmouth; her son: John Camara of Fall River; 5 grandchildren including: Courtney Almeida and Tanya Medeiros; 5 great grandchildren; her sister: Elvira Viveiros of Somerset; several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Joseph F. Camara and sister of the late Jose Rocha, Antonio Rocha, Joao Rocha and Mary Do Carmo.
