Delmira Fatima Morais de Teves De Melo, 76, passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at St. Anne’s Hospital, in Fall River.
She was the widow of the late Asterio G. De Melo.
Born in St. Michael, Azores, she was the daughter of the late Jose de Teves and Elisa Morais de Teves.
Delmira was a dedicated machine operator at Quaker Fabrics for many years before retiring. In her free time, she found joy in a variety of activities, including knitting, solving puzzles, and watching her favorite telenovelas. A faithful parishioner of Santo Christo Church, Delmira was deeply involved in her community. However, her greatest passion was spending quality time with her beloved grandchildren, whom she cherished above all else. Her nurturing spirit and love for family will be remembered by all who knew her.
Survivors include her children Carla Melo, Ricardo Melo, and Silvio Melo; her grandchildren Isabel, Angel, Miguel, Michaela, Tomas and Matilde; her siblings Durval Teves and John Teves. She was predeceased by her son Paulo Melo and her brother Francisco Teves.
A visitation will be held Wednesday, March 19, 2025, from 9 - 10:30 AM at the Oliveira Funeral Home, 215 Columbia St., Fall River.
Her Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 AM at Santo Christo Church, Columbia St., Fall River. Interment will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Fall River.
