Conceicao da Gloria Mello

Conceicao da Gloria (Tavares) Mello, formerly of Broadway, died Friday at Sarah S. Brayton Nursing Care Center. She was the wife of the late Alfred C. De Mello.
Born in Rabo de Peixe, St. Michael, Azores, she was a daughter of the late Jose Tavares Oliveira and Beatrice da Gloria Tavares; she lived here since 1963 and was a member of Santo Christo Church. Mrs. Mello retired worked at Madeira Twin in New Bedford.
She is survived by a daughter, Filomena Dias (husband Manuel) of Fall River; three sons, Manuel L. Melo (wife Theresa) of Fall River, Joao Melo (wife Maria) of Fall River and Gerald "Jerry" Mello (Fiancee Cheryl) of Fall River; 17 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Agostinho J. Mello and the sister of the late Anibal Oliveira.
Her funeral will be held Thursday at 8 a.m. from the OLIVEIRA FUNERAL HOME, 215 Columbia St., followed by a Funeral Mass at 9 a.m. in Santo Christo Church. Entombment in Notre Dame Cemetery Mausoleum. Calling hours Wednesday 6-8 p.m.
