Carlos Dionizio

FALL RIVER…Carlos “Carl” Dionizio, Jr., 94, of Fall River died Thursday May 24, 2018 at Charlton Memorial Hospital.

He was the widower of Mary Louise (Mello) Dionizio.

He was born in South Dartmouth a son of the late Carlos and Mary (Correia) Dionizio and had lived in Fall River for most of his life.

He was employed as an Industrial Engineer at the former Morse Cutting Tools retiring in 1985.

Mr. Dionizio was an avid golfer and a member of the Montaup Country Club since 1970. He was a member of the choir of the former Our Lady of the Angles Church.

Mr. Dionizio was a Staff Sergeant in the United States Army during W.W.II where he earned a Bronze Star.

Survivors include several nieces and nephews.

Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Friday, June 1, 2018, at 9:00 AM from Oliveira Funeral Home 2064 South Main Street, Fall River followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at Good Shepherd Parish, 1598 South Main Street, Fall River. Entombment will be in the Mausoleum at Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River, MA. Calling hours will be held Thursday, May 31st from 4 - 8 PM.
