Carlos M. Costa, 51, of Fall River, died Saturday at St. Anne's Hospital. Born in Ponta Garca, St. Michael, Azores, a son of Maria Virginia (Leite) Carneiro of Fall River and the late Manuel Costa Carneiro; he lived in Fall River for the past 30 years and was a member of Santo Christo Church.
Mr. Costa was formerly employed for a few years as a finisher by Dunkin Donuts in Middletown. He previously worked for several years at the former Quaker Fabric and was a self-employed landscaper.
Besides his mother, he is survived by a sister, Eduarda M. Pacheco (Husband Victor) of Taunton, MA; a brother, Jose H. Costa (Wife Anna) of Fall River. He was the brother-in-law of David P. Curvelo and the uncle of David M. and Marlene Curvelo, Kyle and Jailyn Costa, Brittany and Selena Pacheco. He was the brother of the late Luisa Curvelo. His family would like to acknowledge the nurses at St. Anne's Hospital ICU for the exceptional care provided to Carlos.
His funeral will be held Wednesday at 8 a.m. from the OLIVEIRA FUNERAL HOME, 215 Columbia St., followed by a Funeral Mass at 9 a.m. in Santo Christo Church. Entombment in Notre Dame Cemetery Mausoleum. Calling hours Tuesday 5-8 p.m.
