Candida A. (Cardoso) Charlotin, 56, of Fall River, passed away Friday, April 4, 2025, at Charlton Memorial Hospital, in Fall River.
She was the loving wife of Francois Charlotin, Jr.
Born in Ponta Delgada, St. Michael, Azores, she was a daughter of the late Carlos Baptista Cardoso and the late Fernanda (Nunes) Cardoso.
Candida was a parishioner of Santo Christo Church and a member of the Sociedade Cultural Acoriana Club. She had a passion for folklore dancing, which she practiced for many years, and enjoyed watching game shows in her leisure time. Known for her warm hospitality, Candida delighted in hosting family gatherings and parties, bringing loved ones together for joyous occasions. She had a remarkable gift for childcare, possessing a natural ability to connect with children that made her an exceptional caregiver. Above all else, Candida cherished her family, dedicating herself wholeheartedly to her children and loved ones.
Along with her husband, survivors include her sons, Gary DeMedeiros and Brian DeMedeiros; her siblings, Carlos Cardoso, Ana Paula Frontoura, Susana Meijinhos, Antonio Cardoso, Rui Cardoso, Patricia Monteiro, and Marco Cardoso; many nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held Wednesday, April 9th from 5 to 7 PM at the Oliveira Funeral Home at 215 Columbia Street in Fall River.
Her funeral will be held Thursday, April 10th, at 9 AM at the Oliveira Funeral Home, followed by funeral prayers at 10 AM in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Saint Patrick's Cemetery, Fall River.
