Bertha "Rosie" Garant

Bertha "Rosie" Garant, 87, of Fall River, passed away, February 11, 2012 at home with her loving family by her side.

Rosie was the daughter of the late Wilfred and Yvonne (Charron) Garant. She is survived by her niece and caregiver, with whom she resided, Jeanne Roderiques and her family Karen Cousineau and Matthew Roderiques. She also leaves a sister, Luci Moniz and several other nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her sisters, Laura Vezina Souza and Florida "Sue" Garant and brothers, Wilfred and Donat Garant. She attended the Cornerstone Adult Day Care until her illness in December. She had many friends there.

Her family would like to thank Stewart Hospice and staff, especially Gail, Mary Jo and Jacqui for the excellent care given to Rosie and the kind support we received during Rosie's illness. They would also like to thank the Family Services AFC staff workers and Beverly Albernaz and Donna Wingate for the many years of care and help they bestowed on us all.

Rosie loved everyone she met and was loved by all that knew her. She will be sorely missed.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Service on Saturday at 10 a.m. in the Notre Dame Cemetery Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers donations in Rosie's memory may be made to Stewart Hospice 275 Martine St., Suite 109, Fall River, MA 02723.
