FALL RIVER – Belmira Andrade, 102, of Fall River, Massachusetts passed away Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at Catholic Memorial Home in Fall River.
Belmira was born on November 22, 1915 in Fall River, daughter of the late Joseph P. and Mary (Mello) Andrade. She worked as a trimmer for many years in the textile industry in Fall River. She is a former member of Our Lady of the Angels and Good Shepherd Catholic Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Luciano Andrade and her sister-in-law Millicent Andrade. Surviving are nieces Joyce Smith and husband Larry Smith of Washington, WV; Joan Andrade and her partner Gabriella Laub of Pinellas Park, Florida; great nieces Susan Hill and husband Trampus of Parkersburg, WV and Debbie Smith of Washington, WV. Great Nephews: Steven McLaughlin of Washington, DC and Lee Smith of Parkersburg, WV. Great-Great Nieces, Madison, Hannah, and Alayna; and Great-Great Nephews, Levi, Hunter, and Zachary, and Beloved Cousin Eddie Mello of Fall River and numerous other cousins.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Catholic Memorial Home for their loving care of our Beloved Aunt, and Community Care Hospice for their love and care.
Her Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. in the Catholic Memorial Home's St. Margaret Mary Chapel, 2446 Highland Ave., Fall River. Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery, Robeson St., Fall River. Visitation prior to Funeral Mass 9-10:15 a.m. at the Catholic Memorial Home.
