Beatrice (Medeiros) Mello

SWANSEA… Beatrice (Medeiros) Mello, 92, of Swansea passed away April 26, 2020 at Charlton Memorial Hospital.

She was the loving wife of the late John P. Mello, Sr., to whom she was happily married for 57 years. She faithfully took care of her Husband everyday at home, until he went to be with the Lord.

Born in Fall River, she was a daughter of the late manuel and Rose (Farias) Medeiros and had lived in Swansea for the past 65 years.

Mrs. Mello had worked for many years as a Sewing Machine Operator and as a Housekeeper, prior to her retirement. She had competed in Roller Skating as a Lincoln Park Roller R. N. R. Rollette. She enjoyed sewing, dancing, gardening and taking care of homeless animals.

Survivors include her sons: John P. Mello, Jr. Of Woonsocket and Richard E. Mello of Sierra Vista, AZ; her daughters: Cynthia L. Mello of Woonsocket and Carleen M. Mello of Swansea; her brothers: Fernande Medeiros and Edward Medeiros, both of Fall River; her grandchildren: Celena Pineda, Justina Dame, Jessie Crevier, and Jackson Mello ; her great-grandchild: Isabella Lomastro; several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Alfred Medeiros, Manuel Medeiros, Mary Carvalho and Rose Silvia.
