Aurelia M. Ferreira

FALL RIVER… Aurelia M. Ferreira, 84, of Fall River, died Saturday, November 6, 2021 at home, surrounded by her family.

She was the widow of the late Fernando Ferreira.

Born in St. Michael, Azores, she was a daughter of the late Francisco Ferreira and Maria DaCosta.

Prior to retiring, Mrs. Ferreira was employed as a machine operator in the local garment manufacturing industry and was a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union. She was also a member of the Banda Da Nossa Senhora Conceicao Mosteirense, on Hope Street, and a parishioner of Santo Christo Church.

She is survived by her daughter Anabela Moniz (spouse Jose), of Fall River; her sisters Lucelia Albino and Adinha Correira, both of Canada; her grandchildren Derek Moniz, Cory Moniz, and Kayla Ferreira; several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Paul S. Ferreira and sister of the late Maria Lidia Medeiros.

Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Saturday, November 13, 2021, at 8 AM from the Oliveira Funeral Home, 215 Columbia St. Fall River, MA 02721, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 AM at Santo Christo Parish, Columbia St. Fall River. Interment will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River. Calling hours will be held Friday, from 5 – 8 PM.
