Antonio DaCosta

Antonio DaCosta, 79, of Somerset, passed away Saturday, November 23, 2024, at Sarah S. Brayton Nursing Center, in Fall River.

    He was the widower of the late Fatima (Brum) DaCosta.

    Born in Ponta Delgada, St. Michael, Azores, he was a son of the late Joseph DaCosta and Gloria (Ferreira) DaCosta.

    Prior to retiring, Antonio spent most of his career at the former Lightolier, in Fall River, and was a parishioner of Santo Christo Church. In his younger years, he loved watching soccer and was an avid S.L. Benfica fan. He also enjoyed fishing, watching western movies, swimming, and spending time with his family.

    Antonio is survived by his children Lisa M. Brady (Frank), of Swansea, and Michael A. DaCosta (Colleen), of Somerset; his brother Hamilton Miguel DaCosta; 6 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by several brothers.

    A visitation will be held Tuesday, November 26, 2024, starting at 9:30 AM from the Oliveira Funeral Home, 215 Columbia St. Fall River, MA followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 AM at Santo Christo Church, Columbia St. Fa ll River, MA. Interment will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River.
