Antone V. Machado

Antone V. "Tony" Machado, 92, of Canal St., passed away Saturday after a brief illness. He was the husband of the late Mary (Geraghty) Machado.

A Fall River native and lifelong resident, he was the youngest of five children of the late Manuel V. and Silvana (Ferreira) Machado, both natives of Sao Miguel, Azores.

He was a veteran of the United States Army.

Tony was employed by Anderson Little Co. for 37 years before his retirement as an assistant foreman in 1981.

He is survived by three sons, Kenneth Machado of Westport, MA; Barry Machado of Lake Geneva, WI and David Machado of Portland, OR; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Arrangements by the Oliveira Funeral Home 215 Columbia St. A private memorial for family members will be scheduled at a future date.
