Anthony J. Martin, Sr.

FALL RIVER…Anthony J. Martin, Sr., 74, of Restview Ave., Tiverton, died Tuesday, April 12th at Charlton Memorial Hospital with his family by his side. He was the husband of Jean (Niedbala) Martin.
Born in Fall River, MA, he was a son of the late Antone and Mary J. (Souza) Martin; he lived in Tiverton for the past 48 years and was a communicant of St. Theresa Church. Mr. Martin enjoyed playing music with his children and spending time with his grandchildren; who he considered the love of his life. He was involved in the Tiverton Little League and was an avid Green Bay Packers fan.
Besides his wife and best friend of 53 years, he is survived by two sons, Anthony J. Martin, Jr. and his wife Tammy of Tiverton and Shawn S. Martin and his wife Susan Braz-Martin of Rehoboth, MA; a brother, Keith Martin and his wife Dorothy of Warwick, RI; four grandchildren, Victoria "Tori", Brett, Sarah and Rebecca; and several nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be held Saturday at 7:45 a.m. from the Oliveira Funeral Home, 2064 South Main St., followed by a Funeral Mass at 9 a.m. in St. Theresa Church, Tiverton. Entombment in Notre Dame Cemetery Mausoleum. Calling hours Friday 5-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
