Alina M. Silvia

Alina M. (Mello) Silvia, 101, of Fall River, passed away October 15, 2024 at Somerset Ridge Center.

    She was the widow of the late Joseph M. Silvia.

    Born in Fall River, she was a daughter of the late Antonio C. Mello and Maria P. (Viveiros) Mello.

    Prior to retiring, she worked for Aetna Jewelry Manufacturing, in Providence, and prior at Firestone Rubber Co, in Fall River. She was a parishioner of Santo Christo Church and cherished spending time with her friends and family.

    Alina is survived by her daughter Maureen Lema (husband David), her grandson Robert Pacheco (wife Tanya), her great granddaughter Lily Pacheco, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings Mary Camara, Adrian, Theophilo, James, Antone, George, and Manuel Mello.

    Her funeral will be held Saturday, October 19, 2024 at 9 AM from the Oliveira Funeral Home, 215 Columbia St., Fall River, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM at Santo Christo Church, Columbia St., Fall River. Interment will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Fall River. A visitation will be held Friday night from 4 - 7 PM.
