Alice R. (Silvia) Silvia

FALL RIVER… Alice R. (Silvia) Silvia, 89, of Tiverton passed away, Saturday, June 13, 2015 at Southpointe Rehab. & Skilled Nursing Facility.
She was the widow of David R. Silvia. She was born in Tiverton, RI a daughter of the late Joseph and Evangelina (Machado) Silvia.
She was a sewing machine operator for many years with Floral Fashion in Tiverton until retiring in 1989.
Mrs. Silvia was a Communicant of Holy Ghost Church in Tiverton where she was a member of its Ladies of St. Anne's. She was a member of the Ocean State Senior Citizen and Tiverton Senior Citizens. She was a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union.
Survivors include a son David G. Silvia of Attleboro, MA and his wife Linda P., a sister: Mary Medeiros of Tiverton, 3 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was mother of the late Alan W. Silvia and had 9 siblings that predeceased her.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Saturday at 8:30 AM from the OLIVEIRA FUNERAL HOME 2064 South Main Street, Fall River, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Ghost Church, Tiverton at 10:00 AM. Inurnment will be at Pocasset Hill Cemetery, Tiverton.
