Alice Correia

FALL RIVER - Alice (Almeida) Correia, 93, of Orswell St., Fall River, died Wednesday, April 19th at Southpointe Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center. She was the wife of the late Frank M. "Flash" Correia.
Born in Fall River, MA, she was a daughter of the Alexander and Filomena (Medeiros) Almeida Viveiros; she was a lifelong resident of Fall River. Mrs. Correia worked as a machine operator for many years at the former Firestone Rubber & Latex Co. She was a communicant of Holy Trinity Church.
She is survived by a son, Frank P. Correia and his wife Christine of Tiverton, RI; two sisters, Irene Medeiros of Tiverton, RI and Dolores Costa of California; a brother, Rudolph "Sonny" Almeida of Florida; three grandchildren, Christin, Peter and Matthew; and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Gilbert Almeida, Joseph Almeida, Alexander "Shandry" Almeida, Ida Borges and Hilda Rebello.
Her Funeral will be held Saturday, April 22nd at 7:30 a.m. from the Oliveira Funeral Home, 2064 South Main Street, Fall River, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 8:30 a.m. in Holy Trinity Church, Stafford Rd. Entombment in Notre Dame Cemetery Mausoleum, Stafford Rd. Calling hours Friday 4-8 p.m.
