Alexandrina "Lilly" Pacheco

Alexandrina "Lilly" Pacheco, 100, of the Catholic Memorial Home 2446 Highland Ave. Fall River, formerly of Grant Street, died Friday at the home.

Born in Fall River, MA, a daughter of the late Maurice and Maria dos Anjos (Couto) Pacheco, she was a lifelong resident of this city.

During WWII, she was a "Rosie the Riveter" working as machine operator in Newport, RI. Later she worked as a machine operator for a local straw hat factory, until her retirement in 1973.

Ms. Pacheco was a member of Santo Christo Church.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Maria R. Pacheco, Stella Souza, Frances Mello, Maria Mello, Margaret Botelho and Joseph Pacheco.

Her funeral will be held on Friday at 8 a.m. from the Oliveira Funeral Home 215 Columbia St. followed by a Funeral Mass at 9 a.m. in Santo Christo Church. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours Thursday 6 - 8 p.m.
