Albertina Fillion

Albertina "Bertha" (Franco) Fillion, 91, of Fall River, a retired garment worker, died Monday at the Catholic Memorial Home. She was the wife of Kenneth T. Fillion.

Born in Fall River, MA, she was a daughter of the late Antone and Maria (Freitas) Franco, and step-daughter of the late Mariana Franco; she was a lifelong resident of Fall River. Mrs. Fillion worked as a marker for 18 years at the former Beacon Garment, retiring in 1986.

Besides her husband of 70 years, she is survived by a son, Gerald K. Fillion of Fall River; two sisters, Lillian Khoury of Swansea and Lorraine Franco of Fall River; five brothers, Manuel Franco, Charles Franco, Antone Franco and Ronald Franco, all of Fall River and Eugene Franco of Assonet; a grandson, Justin Fillion of Somerset; a sister-in-law, Joan Gauthier of Somerset; a brother-in-law, Frederick Fillion of Somerset; several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Paul Fillion and the sister of the late Adeline Franco and Daniel Franco.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass on Friday at 9:30 a.m. in the St. Margaret Mary's Chapel of the Catholic Memorial Home. Calling hours are omitted. Cremation to follow. Arrangements are by the OLIVEIRA FUNERAL HOME, 2064 South Main St.
