FALL RIVER - Aida (Correia) Botelho, 83, of Fall River, a retired garment worker, died Wednesday at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Antonio Botelho.
Born in Ponta Delgada, St. Michael, Azores, she was a daughter of the late Joao and Ilda do Espirito Santo (Furtado) Correia; she emigrated to this country in 1972 and was a member of Santo Christo Church. Mrs. Botelho worked as a machine operator in the local garment industry.
She is survived by three daughters, Isabel C. Botelho-Page and her husband Scott of Fall River, Madalena Correia and her husband Artur of Brampton, Ontario, Canada and Elizabeth Mota and her husband Joe of Fall River; a son, Joao Botelho and his wife Christina of Somerset, MA; two sisters, Ilda Mello and Mary Joe Ricardo, both of Fall River; three brothers, Joao Correia and Manuel Correia, both of Fall River and Hermangildo Correia of Mississauga, Canada; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Artur Correia, Leopoldina Cordeiro and Fernando Correia.
Her funeral will be held Monday, May 22nd at 8 a.m. from the Oliveira Funeral Home, 215 Columbia Street, Fall River, followed by a Funeral Mass at 9 a.m. in Santo Christo Church, Columbia Street, Fall River.
